    Help Wanted
    June 28, 2008
One of our largest fund raisers is water and glo rope sales at Northam Park for the fireworks on July 4th. Student volunteers are needed to assist with putting up the sales tent, watching the tent, tearing down the tent and to sell glo ropes and water during the event. This is a fun way to spend the evening. Students may sign up in the band room during practices this week.

Those selling glo ropes are required to wear a band shirt (Black & Gold or band t-shirt) to identify themselves as a member of the band.

Welcome to all new UA Band Families. Look around the site and see what you can learn about the UA Bands.
Please make plans to attend the UAMB Family picnic on Wednesday, July 2 beginning at 6 PM at the stadium. A flyer will go home at practices and will be posted regarding what to bring. This picnic is an opportunity to meet other band families and to see the band perform before the parade.

    Summer Time!
    June 07, 2008
2008 Registration forms and music were distributed during the band final. Check the packets for dates and memorization deadlines.

New members should receive their packet in the mail soon. Packets were mailed June 6. If you are missing anything or do not receive your packet by June 13, e mail Mr. Manser.

New members should check the members area for the handbook, marching fundamentals, and information on band camp.

The first thing the band prepares for is one of the greatest parades in the nation: the UA July 4th parade. The route is lined with thousands of very enthusiastic fans. The band will perform Tribute to America and Stand Up & Cheer. Practices for the July 4th Parade begin June 27.

The UA Band Family Picnic is July 2nd beginning at 6:00 at Marv Morehead Stadium in the shadow of the new Band Pavilion which will be under construction to be ready by opening night. The picnic is a potluck and a flyer will go home at the practices before the picnic. The picnic is a great way to get to know other band families.
