Despite the threat of inclement weather, the Upper Arlington 4th of July parade went on as scheduled. The Upper Arlington Marching Band, including the incoming freshmen class, brought the pride, power and spirit of the band to the throngs of friends, families and neighbors at this UA tradition. Lead by drum majors Elizabeth Geil and Rachel Ryan, the band played a blend of patriotic music and the UA fight song (Stand Up and Cheer) to the delight of the crowd.

Please consider participating in the UA 5k run & walk race to raise money for the Upper Arlington athletic teams, cheerleaders, and BAND, at Upper Arlington High School, Hastings Middle School, and Jones Middle School.
The annual Summer Family Picnic took place June 22. After threatening to rain all day the night turned out to be beautiful and a nice crowd gathered to eat hot dogs and get a preview of the band’s upcoming performance in the July 4th parade. See you for the real thing in a less than two weeks!
